Classic/Cup Programs

The SFSA is not affiliated with any one Classic club. For those players seeking a more competitive soccer environment than our Travel soccer, PAWest offers Classic soccer, often referred to as CUP. Players can play for both the SFSA and a Classic team. These Classic teams play in Divisions 1, 2, and 3 with Division 1 being the most competitive. Some local Classic clubs are Beadling, Century United, FC Pittsburgh, SCS United, Steel Town Magic, and Victory Express. Each club conducts its own tryouts thus, not all players are offered a roster spot. There is usually a fee to play. These teams typically play on Saturdays and often compete in out of state tournaments.

In addition to the Classic soccer league provided by PA West, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds also provide an opportunity for more competitive soccer through the Riverhounds Development Academy. These teams do not play in the PA West Classic league.
