Travel Soccer Evaluations June 27 at Preservation Park

If your son or daughter plans on playing travel soccer in the fall 2020 or spring 2021, please read this message and its attachment in their entirety.

Travel evaluations will occur on June 27, 2020 at Preservation Park, Field A (175 Triple Tree Lane, Oakdale, PA 15071) pursuant to the schedule listed below. Note the new location from previous years. Evaluations are conducted by a third party evaluators and are used to try to ensure that players are placed on a team with teammates of comparable skill and ability. Because of the importance of the evaluations, they are typically mandatory to play travel soccer. However, this year they are voluntary because when your child returns to play is entirely up to you.

The health and wellness of our players, coaches and their families are our number one priority. With that in mind, we have prepared the attached Return to Play Protocol for Travel Evaluations. Please read the Protocol in its entirety and share with your child. You must complete and sign the last page acknowledging BEFORE evaluations. When you arrive at Preservation Park, please drop-off your child at the entrance to Field A with the fully completed and signed acknowledgment. No player will be allowed to evaluate without a signed acknowledgment. As part of SFSA's RTP Protocol, parents MUST remain in their vehicles/parking area during evaluations.

Your child must bring: water/drink; an inflated Size 4 soccer ball; and, shin-guards. Soccer cleats are highly recommended. The following is the schedule for evaluations based on gender and birth year. Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time and promptly leave when your child's session has concluded.

Boys U10 Birth Years 2011 and 2012 9:00-10:30

Boys U12 Birth Years 2009 and 2010 11:00-12:30

Girls U10 Birth Years 2011 and 2012 1:00-2:30

Girls U12 Birth Years 2009 and 2010 3:00-4:30

Notice will be sent by email if some or all evaluation sessions need to be rescheduled. The rain date is June 28 at the same times listed above. Evaluations are NOT registration. You still need to register your child at southfayettesoccer.org before June 30.
